For the Recipe

  • 2 medium-sized ripe bananas
  • ¾ cups of oats
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • ¾ cup of milk
  • 2 tsp of Cadbury Cocoa Powder
  • 3 tbsp of Cadbury Dairy Milk

Directions

steps-1
01

To create the oats flour, blend oats in a food processor until you achieve a fine consistency.

steps-2
02

Then, proceed to blend the bananas into a smooth puree.

steps-3
03

In a large mixing bowl, add the oats flour, baking soda, followed by the banana puree and ¾ cup of milk.

steps-4
04

Combine all of these ingredients well using a whisk.

steps-5
05

Divide the batter equally into two bowls. In one bowl, add the Cadbury cocoa powder. Then mix in roughly chopped Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate. The chocolate pieces should be large enough so they are only slightly melted once cooked.

steps-6
06

Preheat the oven to 170 C.

steps-7
07

As the oven heals, pour the two batters one after the other into a greased baking tin for the yin and yang effect. Alternatively, you can also line it with parchment paper.

steps-8
08

Add a little more roughly chopped Dairy Milk chocolate on top.

steps-9
09

Then bake the oats cake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.

steps-10
10

Enjoy it warm or cold with a scoop or ice cream.

TIPS:
One can add sugar if you like your cake extra sweet.
You can also use dates to sweeten the cake which you can blend along with the ripe bananas in a food processor. Not only will they sweeten the cake, but will also add a caramel note.
If you want to take the cake to another level, consider frosting it with a very basic buttercream. For this, you can either use salted or unsalted butter for this.
