For the Recipe
- ¼ cup + 1 tbsp of white sesame seeds
- 5 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp of water
- 3 tbsp of Cadbury Dairy Milk
- 3 tbsp of Christmas-themed sprinkles
Directions
In a heavy-bottomed pan, toast the sesame seeds until they turn golden and release a fragrant aroma. Set them aside to cool.
In a saucepan, create a caramel by combining 1 tablespoon of water and 5 tablespoons of sugar. Avoid stirring the sugar to prevent seizing, but gently swirl the pan to ensure even melting.
Once the sugar achieves a rich brown color, remove the saucepan from the heat. Immediately pour the caramelized sugar over the sesame seeds and mix thoroughly.
Press the caramelized sesame seeds into a cookie cutter to shape them.
Melt the chocolate using either the double boiler method or in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 10-second intervals.
Spread the melted chocolate over half of the caramelized sesame seeds that have been molded into your desired shape.
Add Christmas-themed sprinkles on top for a festive touch.
TIPS:
You can use any type of cookie cutter shape you desire. If you cannot find Christmas-themed sprinkles, feel free to use golden, silver or just plain chocolate sprinkles.
You can leave the sesame brittle to cool and firm up before serving it.
You can also flavor the caramel with almond essence, vanilla essence, cinnamon, nutmeg or ginger if you want.
Increase the quantity of the ingredients if you want to make a large batch.
