- Cadbury Bournville Dark Chocolate - 2 tbsp + 1 tsp
- 2 Banana
- Milk - 1 cup
- Custard Powder - 1 tbsp
- Almond - 2 tbsp
Directions
Mix custard powder and milk, then microwave it for 2 minutes. Keep stirring so there are no lumps.
Slice the banana and add it to the custard milk mixture.
Transfer all of this into a blender and blend till well-combined and smooth. After this, pour it into your serving bowl, cover with cling film and refrigerate for an hour.
Then toast your sliced almonds on a dry pan till they have turned slightly golden and aromatic. Set aside to cool.
Then melt the Cadbury Bournville in a microwave-safe bowl in 10-minute intervals. Ensure that all of the chocolate has completely melted.
Once the ice cream has set, take it out of the freezer, pour melted chocolate over it and garnish with the toasted almonds.
TIPS
It is best when served cold as dessert.
You can also add vanilla extract, an espresso shot, or some cinnamon powder to the custard-banana mix if you want to create a different flavor.
Experiment with different varieties of nuts such as walnuts, pistachios, or hazelnuts. Toasting them before you use them as garnish will only enhance their flavor and give them that satisfying crunch.
You can also enhance the texture of the ice-cream through mix-ins such as crushed Cadbury Oreo cookies, a caramel swirl, or even a swirl of Cadbury Bournville. Experiment with different varieties of chocolate too. You can create so many different batches and pick the best one out of those.
