For the Recipe
- Sticky rice powder - ½ cup
- Almond - 3 tbsp + 1 tsp
- Cashew nuts - 4 tbsp
- Rice bran oil - 2 tbsp + 2 tsp
- Sugar - 1 tbsp + 2 tsp
- Cadbury Cocoa Powder - 2 tbsp
Directions
Crush the almond and cashew nuts. Keep aside
In a bowl, add the sticky rice powder, nuts, cocoa powder and sugar
Mix the dry ingredients together
Add water into the dry ingredients. Whisk well
Pour the batter into the skillet and fry it in low medium heat
Melt the chocolate
Drizzle the chocolate on top of the rice nuts pie.
You can also add coconut shavings as garnish if desired. You can either use desiccated coconut from a packet, or toast the shavings in a pan for crunch and a more pronounced coconut flavor.
If you want to make the flavors warmer, then consider adding a dash of vanilla extract or essence to the batter.
You can also enjoy the rice nut pies with fresh fruits, such as strawberries, bananas, and blueberries.
Instead of Cadbury Dairy Milk, you can also use Cadbury Bournville, Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk, or homemade caramel sauce, or chocolate hazelnut spread.
These Rice Nut Pies are best enjoyed warm.
