serving
For the Recipe
- ¼ cup + 1 tbsp of flour
- ¼ tsp of baking powder
- ¼ cup of sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp of Cadbury Cocoa Powder
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp of instant coffee powder (optional)
- ¼ cup of milk
- 6 squares or 18 gms of Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk
- 1 tsp of icing sugar (for garnish)
Directions
In a bowl, sift in all the dry ingredients—flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and Cadbury cocoa powder—and combine well. It is important to sift in to ensure there are no lumps.
Add the wet ingredients: oil, coffee, and milk. (If coffee is not desired, milk or water can be added in its place.).
Roughly chop about four squares of Cadbury Silk chocolate and leave two squares for later.
Pour the batter into a microwave-safe mug.
Add the roughly chopped chocolate bars on top and microwave for 80–90 seconds.
Once done, sift some icing sugar on top and add Cadbury Silk chocolate squares on top.
It is recommended to serve it while it's hot to preserve the silky texture and flavor from Cadbury Silk chocolate.
Enjoy the chocolate mug cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of more melted Cadbury Silk if you want to elevate the dessert.
Keep an eye on how long you microwave the cake because overcooking can result in a dry texture, and you won't get that gooey center.
